- In small groups divided by grade level, discuss the importance of digital literacy at your level. (Everything has to be 'top-directed' - from the Superintendent/Board to classroom teachers. Need to stay competitive with other districts.) Who teaches it? (At the secondary level, the classroom teachers are held accountable for facilitating or they bring in other resources such as CFF coach, etc.) Why? (To ensure students are 21st Century literate.) What should students know? (Students will be able to communicate effectively using various methods.)
- What are three ways that you can be responsible for digital literacy in your grade or content area? (1. Use as a classroom medium. 2. Requiring students to use digital literacy in a variety of ways. 3. Classroom teachers should keep themselves up-to-date on a continuous basis.)
